Insanity

aribelle-sallice:

They start small
Thin tendrils reaching out
Pin pricking thorns
Starting to sink in
Releasing their venom
Like the fangs of snakes
As they grow larger
Tendrils to vines
Theyre everywhere
Taking over

My Chemical Romance - Thank You for the Venom

Sister, I’m not much a poet, but a criminal
And you never had a chance
Love it, or leave it, you can’t understand
A pretty face, but you do so carry on,
and on,
and on

I wouldn’t front the scene if you paid me
I’m just the way that the doctor made me, on,
and on,
and on,
and on
Love is the red the rose on your coffin door
What’s life like, bleeding on the floor,
the floor,
the floor

You’ll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me a reason to believe

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You’re running after something
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will

Preach all you want but who’s gonna save me?
I keep a gun on the book you gave me, hallelujah, lock and load
Black is the kiss, the touch of the serpent son
It ain’t the mark or the scar that makes you one,
and one,
and one,
and one

You’ll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me a reason to believe

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You’re running after something
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will

You’ll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
You wanna follow something
Give me a better cause to lead
Just give me what I need
Give me a reason to believe

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You’re running after something
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison (Fire at will)
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts (Fire at will)
And make me ill
You’re running after something (Fire at will)
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want (Fire at will)
Then fire at will

The Pleasure of Ignorance

It has been often said

Ignorance is bliss indeed

Oh how I often wish

Ignorance was bliss in me

For though I will hastily admit

My life has been far from dark

It was when ignorance faded from me

That sadness swelled in my heart

Nile - Von Unaussprechlichen Kulten

I Hath Dreamed Black and Grim, Desolate Visions
Of the Pre-Human Serpent Folk and Communed with Long-dead Reptiles.
Silently Watching Through the Ages in Cold, Curious Apathy.
The Unending Sorrows and Suffering of an Abysmal Humankind.

I Dare Not Again Surrender to the Deep Sleep Which Ever Beckons Me.
Lest I in Dread.
Shudder at the Nameless Things.
That May at this Very Moment.
Be Crawling and Lurking.
At the Slimy Edges of My Conciousness.
Slithering Forth from the Bowels of Their Infernal Pits.
Worshipping Their Ancient Stone Idols and Carving Their Own Detestable Likenesses On Subterranean Obelisks of Blood-soaked Granite.

I Await the Day When the Claws of Doom Shall Rise.
To Drag Down in Their Reeking Talons the Weary and Hopeless Remnants of a Jaded, Decayed, War-despairing Mankind.
Of a Day When the Earth Shall Open Wide and the Black, Bottomless, Yawning Abyss Engulfs the Arrogant Civilizations of Man.
Chthonic Retribution Shall Ascend.
Amidst Universal Pandemonium and Those Who Slither and Crawl Shall Rise Again Once More to Inherit the Earth.

A Poem to a Soldier

This life of yours has been harsh

You have battled throughout the land

I pray strength is raised inside you,

For now as one soldier, you shall stand.

To face armies of darkness

Prepared to take you away

To hide you in your sorrow,

Never to see the breaking of day

“No escape” they will whisper

“This is what you deserve to endure

Now take it like a soldier

Our bondage on you we assure”

They will lead you down

They will show a new kind of hell

But dear heart may my words be with you

There is light beyond the veil

There exists a truth

And do not believe it to be

Nothing is watching over you

Nothing ever sees

For then what is the point

Of all the effort you ever gave

To all of your accomplishments

That will be buried in your grave

One hundred years past

Who will remember you then

Who would ever take notice

Of all the effort given

There must be something

Beyond the horizon of the furthest star

That is guiding the course of your life

To make you what you are

Try not to completely abandon

The care shown to you and flee

Dear soldier I love you

And from the darkness be set free

Pull back the veil of dark

That has hidden light from view

And take great comfort

In the sight in front of you

For I and many others

Will stand armed and ready

To carry you swiftly through

The darkness strong and steady

This world of ours can prove to be very unkind

Battle we must, throughout the land

But I pray hope is stayed inside you

For now as soldiers we will stand.

Behemoth: Before Aeons Came

Before the beginning of years
There came to the making of man
Time, with a gift of tears
Grief, with a glass that ran

Pleasure, with pain for leaven
Summer, with flowers that fell
Rememberance fallen from heaven
And madness risen from hell

Strength without hands to smite
Love that endures for a breath
Night the shadow of light
And life the shadow of death

And the high gods took in hand
Fire and the falling of tears
And a measure of sliding sand
From under the feet of the years

And froth and drift of the sea
And dust of the laboring earth
And bodies of things to be
In the houses of death and of birth

And wrought with weeping and laughter
And fashioned with loathing and love
With life before and after
And death beneath and above

The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.H.P. Lovecraft (via bananaslugbud)

Avarice

So very young was the poor boy
When his father would take him to sea
And instruct how to steal and to kill
All to fulfill their greed.

There, under the veil of mists
They both sailed off into the night
Prepared to steal as much as one could
Until the breaking of light.

They gathered more gold
Many weapons and a crew
And would toast with the rum at night
To all of those they slew.

But one can only share so little
When he possesses the world
So using his sharpest blade
The son’s betrayal unfurled.

His father now gone; the gold in his hands
The son swiftly made his way,
To continue what he had begun,
And to remember what his father would say.

“We steal to move on, and we kill to live
It’s what we must do to survive,
So do what you must to get through this world
Or else my son, you will surely die.”

As he stood on the deck, he pondered these words
And shifted through their truth,
To find that he had done well so far and now,
He knew what he must do.

Sailing far off to the horizon
He told the crew of some illusive place
Then successfully left them alone,
In a baffled and confused daze.

He made off on a small craft.
With nothing but chests of treasure
His heart now over flowing,
With a greed no one could measure.

But just as he rowed off
With confidence that the gold was finally his,
He saw a sight amongst the waves
That caused his heart to give.

For it was the figure of his cheated father,
Standing throughout the waves,
He stared deep into his old and tired eyes,
Which were now cold, dark, and grey.

Lucifer’s Ruin

Behold! Rebellious one of paradise,

Thou hast been eternally cast down,

Thou brought only artificial discipleship and lies

Thou will never see the crown.

Now come! And bring forth hate,

Spit onwards power and rebellion of thy being,

Into the world thy Master didst create,

Sodom is thy child and all is desecrating.

Hark now! The angels call,

The Messiah hast come to destroy thy place,

Thy antediluvian completed work of thy vile all,

Hast now, by thy own Creator, been erased.

Untainted Son of golden Glory!

Hang on your cross of victory,

Prince of the air perceives you now as defeated

Pronounce the words of triumph now “It is finished”.

Come forth! O beloved Son,

Rise up! Child of God thou hast won!
